This is my favorite restaurant in New York at the end of the day. When I come back home, this is my first meal. It truly makes me cry thinking about this delicious meal... The silken tofu is a bite delivered by angels. The cumin lamb noodles will bring you home. The cucumbers are essential to the perfect balanced meal. This is my comfort meal, I hope everyone appreciates it.
Great deal when in NYC! The restaurant is nice and clean and the food comes out to you quickly. Service was kind and accommodating. I personally loved the tender lamb and spices. As a spicy food lover, it was a bit overpowering on the pallet at times, don't be surprised if your swallowing chili peppers between bites. However, tasty nonetheless!
I've been to their chinatown location and enjoyed the noodles and as expected never disappointed! I had the Lamb with the noodles soo good the flavors were literally bursting in my mouth!! It's definitely not a one man job since the noodles are so thick and the portion size is really good! So it can feed 2 Service was cool and calm! The entire is cute the seats are a bit lower I figure for that Asian style feel! But it's so cute definitely recommend eating here
Very fresh, tasty noodles! Had the pork noodles, the lamb dumplings, and spinach dumplings. I would love for everything to be more flavorful, but the spice around everything makes up for it I guess-
These hand noodles are made to each order and you tell when you take a bite of them. Every single thing from the noodles to the lamb dumplings were excellent. The pork burger had so much flavor and texture in the pork. There is a good amount of Szechuan peppercorn in the spicy noodles that makes you want to keep going back for more. There are dishes such as the pork noodles that are not spicy for people looking for that. The chili oil in the dumplings make me crave it even more now. Even the teas were good, jasmine and the sour hawberry tea were delicious. Honestly really affordable for the amount of food that you end up getting.
I have heard so many things about this place and the noodles themselves were insanely delicious. They were chewy and fresh and I didn't realize the noodles I've been eating my whole life didn't add up to this. I ordered the lamb noodles regular spice (because they tell you that you MUST get the spice) and it was definitely flavorful and delicious. With that being said, I didn't love the meal. It felt very heavy and dense but I think I would go back and get it in the broth, which would make this feel less heavy. The flavors were just VERY concentrated and I think I'd like broth or something to disperse it (does this make sense??) lol. I also must go with someone else so I can try the dumplings because they looked insanely delish. I think a different order on my end would make this 5 stars. The space itself has lots of counter seating and it's self service. They have napkins and utensils and I just wish they had free tap water, lol! It was spicy! The spice level is manageable and flavorful rather than burn your mouth off and die. But, it did leave my mouth burning and I needed to take a few breaks.
I ordered the F8 and N9 mild spice and they did not disappoint! Both dishes were delicious. I'm also extremely appreciative of how nice everyone was. Especially considering I clumsily dropped both of my dishes. (Again, very sorry). They rushed over to help and offered to make new dishes which they definitely didn't have to do so thank you!! I also had a little leftover and it's just as good the next day!
Really good lamb with noodle in soup. The noodles were the right consistency of chewiness. The lamb was tender in pieces. I had the least spicy and less oil, which had good flavor. Though next time I'll keep the oil at regular for more spices. The chrysanthemum tea, jasmine tea or sour hawberry tea are all pretty good. Its mild cold tea flavors go well with the spicy foods. They have a kiosk you can order from or order at the register. There were enough seatings since people just eat and go. No more outdoor seatings. Only indoors. It is a tight space, but good enough for a quick meal.
Widely popular hand-pulled Chinese noodle shop. There are locations all over NY, if you haven't been to one yet, you're missing out. The interior of the shop is a bit hectic, but very reminiscent of what a noodle shop is like in China during busy hours. You order at the counter and seating is self-seating and first-come, first-serve. We ordered 2 noodles, Spicy Cumin Lamb noodles and Pork "Zha Jiang" noodles as well as the spicy tofu custard. Honestly, we could have done with just one noodle as the portions were massive, but we wanted to try different things while here on vacation. The noodles are pretty spicy, if you're not a fan of heat, you may want to reconsider coming. The thick noodles soaked up and clung to the spicy sauce it was tossed in. The spice left me craving more and more. Our meat toppings were good, but the star was definitely the noodles and the sauce. If you're feeling adventurous, you can add extra sauce to your noodles as well. The tofu was very silky and sweet. The chili oil it came in gave a delicious kick but not as much as I thought it would. I wished the flavors of the chili oil came through just a bit more. If you're a fan of spicy foods and noodles, drop by and find out why they're so famous!
